Holy Spirit JLG Group had made a profit of Rs.30000/-only from Mogra flowers. During the month of July To Sept 2011, the group made a profit of Rs. 8000/- on the Haldi leaves. The nursery made a profit of Rs. 15000/- which majorly was due to the sale of Chille saplings, Musrad Mango saplings & the remaining was from the ornamental plants.

The Holy Cross JLG group have been supplying Organic vegetables to the hotel “A Lila Diwa” to the tune of Rs. 5000/- per month since Aprill 2011.

The Mother Mary JLG has been supplying oyster mushroom to the local shops @ Rs.150 per Kg. Although there are 5 women who have been doing this business in which the mushrooms are harvested on rotational bases yet their supply has not been in par with the demand. As the women have less space, mass production is difficult to undertake.

The Dynamic JLG Group has been very successful as from a family of 5 the group had a family of eighteen. They have sold adult pigs @Rs. 6000/- each and piglet @ Rs.3000/- each.

The ST Francis Xavier JLG Group has harvested Pepper worth Rs.10000/-, bettle nut worth Rs.25000/-, coconut worth Rs.12000/-, & vegetables worth Rs.15000/- & Flowers (Dalia, Jasmine & marigold worth Rs.8000/-

All the groups have collectively rented a shop in the Vasco main vegetable market investing collectively in the deposit amount and contributing to the monthly rent, the shop has been doing a daily business of Rs.3500/- per day. The success of the women’s dedicated work is that each of the five groups have been paying their monthly installments of Rs.2000/- in place of Rs. 1500/- regularly without any backlogs.

In one year’s time the women have brought a significant change in their personal economic condition. One of the group lady has brought a guitar for her 15 year old son, who is aspiring to become a musician. Another lady has bought a gold bangle for her daughter. Project Samrudhi as the name goes has succeeded in making 25 ladies from Phatepur “Samrudh” i.e. empowered.

On account of the dedication put in by the women Rotary Club Margao Midtown, plans to under take a women enterprise development project. This project aims at creating Women Entrepreneurs. AIMS has forwarded the project to Rotary Club Margao Midtown on the same.
