AIMS WEBME - Micro Entrepreneurs - Success Stories

Catering Unit

This particular unit aims at providing a minimum source of income to the poor women who are unable to travel and do not have the ability to master other skill.

  • 25 women from 5 different Self Help Group are employed under the Mid Day Meal Project coordinated by AIMS, catering to 2000 children in Margao.

  • 2 Women SHG’s supply tiffins to Shri Shri Ravishankar Management Intitute.

  • Regular Caterers to: The District Rural Development & Administration – North Goa, The Peerless General Finance & Investment Company limited., Economic Development Corporation, GIRDA, Bajaj Alliance Ltd.

  • 2 Self Help Groups have established a Catering Enterprise by availing financial aid from the EDC.

  • Currently taking local catering orders of Corporate in and around Panjim.
Garment Manufacturing Unit

This unit provides uniforms stitching services to of various industries, Companies, and government/private Organisations.

  • Networked with Matoshri School for their Annual Gathering , 150 costumes

  • Networked with Hotels for Uniforms, Approns and Caps for its employees.

  • A Garment Manufacturing Unit has been formed by the SHG from Khola.

  • 1 Tailoring unit , with a credit linkage of Rs.3Lakhs is formed at Margao.

Handicraft Manufacturing Unit

  • The 12 women from Saveivera – Ponda, are regular suppliers of Jute Files to Organisation like GIRDA, State Bank Of India, NABARD etc

  • Our Artisans Groups are a regular suppliers of Shell Bouquet, Cotton Folders/Files, Hand Made Writing Pads, Envelopes, Mementoes to Organisations like NABARD, GIRDA, State Bank Of India – Panjim Branch, Hotel A Lila Diva & Le Hotel Magnifique.

Beauty Care Unit

After imparting training on Beauty Care of 30 SHG ladies under the MEDP program of NABARD, 4 ladies of Guirim Panchayat SHG have jointly formed a Beauty Care Unit, in which they are collectively rendering door to door services. 2 Women have applied for the CMRY financial assistance scheme to start their own Beauty Parlour.

A Beauty Contest of 30 ladies from 6 different SHG of Bardez Taluka was conducted in joint collaboration with Mapusa Rotary Club.
